Residential Range Hood Blowers & Fans Repair

One of the most important but also most overlooked appliances in your home is the range hood above your stove-top. Your range hood removes smoke, steam, heat and obnoxious smells from your kitchen and your home, and should be checked regularly to make sure it doesn’t become clogged and start functioning poorly.

If your range hood isn’t operating normally and removing those unwanted gases and smells, it may be suffering from one of a few common but repairable problems. Your fan motor may be bogged down or faulty, the grease filter may be clogged and also a part of the ductwork that connects the hood to the outside of your home may also be blocked.

Before beginning any repair work yourself, follow these safety rules and tips to insure that you or another member of your family does not get injured.

Turn off the electrical power to the range hood. This can be done at the main electrical junction box in your home.

Never touch the exhaust fan motor with water, either from your hands or from a rag or sponge. This could cause the motor to short-out when you re-apply the electricity

Clean your hood’s grease filter on a regular basis. The filter protects your fan and motor from grease and other destructive elements. Don’t clean it in the dishwasher where the grease could damage it, but in the kitchen sink.

We service all of the following common AC problems:
